Full Steam Ahead: We have a full field of 140 teams representing 70 CrossFit Affiliates from across the region for #HOA2015!
In order to pull this event off each year, we rely completely on the efforts of our extremely talented and hard-working judges and volunteers. Once again, we’re seeking the community’s finest to take on the task of directing, managing, and “no-repping” 900 of the fittest athletes in the region:)
Should you choose to accept the challenge we’ll ask you to choose a date (or dates) to which you can commit for the full duration of the days’ activities. Judges will be placed in rotational groups, to allow for breaks throughout the day. As always, you can expect to be provided with food, vendor discounts, an event shirt, and you will receive a free day pass for the day on which you’re serving as a judge or volunteer.
Our judges have one of the toughest jobs the weekend of the event and as an added thank you **this year at HOA 2015 we will be giving away $25 Visa gift cards to each judge for every day that they are scheduled!** Though it’s not near what you’re worth, we hope at least in some small way that this gesture demonstrates a token of our genuine appreciation for your efforts.
We will conduct three judges’ clinics prior to the event, of which attendance for (at least) one will be mandatory. Scheduled dates for the clinics are August 16, August 30, and September 24. Each of the HOA judging clinics will be hosted at CrossFit Springfield in Springfield, MO. Further details will be emailed on the weekend of August 8-9th to all those who’ve signed up as judges.
** HOA reserves the right to make the final decision on who is scheduled to judge each day. Judge must be available and present for the entire duration of their scheduled shift in order to be eligible to receive the $25 Visa gift card.
