Who we are

The Heart of America Team Competition has grown from a small local team competition in Springfield, MO with 15 participating affiliates in 2009 to a full-blown regional event for athletes, fans, and industry vendors alike. Our desire is for HOA to continue to be, first and foremost, a celebration of the strong community of athletes and gyms from throughout the Midwest and beyond. Our mission is to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.

Each year, the workouts are well-conceived, well-formatted, and pre-tested. Our dedicated staff of judges and volunteers are always properly educated and briefed well in advance of the event in an effort to deliver a fair and un-biased athlete and spectator experience. We continue to strive for excellence in every aspect of this fun, family-friendly, community focused event!

Starting the fall of 2025, Jeremy and Jenny Mhire have handed the baton off for what HOA has always been and shared their vision with Jason and Heidi Ansley to continue the tradition of the best 4-person team competition in America.
